Creating the helpdesk
Join the site
In order to create your own helpdesk on chatblox.com you only need to join the site. After your first login, your helpdesk will be automatically setup. The helpdesk will not be usable until you configure it.
Edit helpdesk properties
While logged-in notice that at the top you will find a bar containing the My helpdesk link. Clicking on it will bring you directly to your helpdesk.
Click on edit to bring up the edit form. Fill in a different title (if you wish) and a suitable description of your helpdesk. While it is not necessary to have a description it is useful, as it will help others find your helpdesk through searching.
Managing agents
When your helpdesk is first created it is not linked to any jabber accounts and is not yet usable. You can add/remove agents by editing the agents list and providing your agents jabber ids.
To do so while viewing your helpdesk click the agents tab. The following form will fetch authorized agents if any and will let you add new ones or remove existing ones. Click savewhen done.
Client authorization
The server will try to add the agent's jabber ids to your helpdesk's roster. Newly added agents will receive an authorization request next time they login to their jabber account. Authorizing the helpdesk contact to subscribe to their presence will make them available to the helpdesk.
